An extremely mannered and increasingly preposterous tale of a fortysomething woman who has to deal with an abusive, double-dealing husband and a handsome, soap-actor lover who seems to be too good to be true.

Antonio and Amalia are the parents of Naomi, a 17-year-old who's having her first love affair. Convinced he has passed the most complicated phase of family management, Antonio thinks he can finally enjoy life in the company of his beautiful wife but his plans are spoiled by the news of not one but two unexpected pregnancies.

The stories of five women very different from each other, yet linked by morbid and violent love experiences, are intertwined in a drama inspired by the collection of short stories by Dacia Maraini published in 2012 by the same title of the film, "Love Stolen ".
