
Acting
Elidan Arzoni made his stage debut at the age of 5 in opera and shortly thereafter in theater. During his childhood, he sang solo roles in professional productions of operas by Britten, Janáček, Kalman, Menotti, and Debussy ; in the theater, he performed in plays by Beckett, Hauptmann, and Turgenev. After studying singing with José Van Dam, among others, he trained in drama at the Section Professionnelle d'Art Dramatique (SPAD) of the Lausanne Conservatory, where he graduated in 1997. He then worked as an actor in theater, film, television, and, from 2008, also as a theater director. He is the artistic director of the Compagnie Métamorphoses. In film and television, he has collaborated with Jean-Luc Godard, Antoine Russbach, Jean-Laurent Chautems, Michael Schaerer, Tobias Ineichen, Denis Rabaglia, Ayten Mutlu, and Janine Piguet, among others. He is the father of actor Vidal Arzoni.

Frank, a man of action who worked his way up all by himself, dedicates his life to work. No matter the place or the circumstances, be it day or night, he’s on the phone, handling the cargo ships he charters for major companies. But when he has to deal with a crisis situation, Frank makes a brutal decision and gets fired. Profoundly shaken, betrayed by a system to which he gave his all, he has to progressively question himself to save the one connection that still matters to him: the bond he’s managed to maintain with his youngest daughter, Mathilde.

As a newly arrived pianist starts rehearsing, her neighbor starts a sound war that very rapidly brings all the neighbors to their windows. While everyone shouts at each other, the pianist plays till she faints. When the police witness the crowd of hysterical neighbors shouting at each other, they take the side of the pianist, who, after a moment of intense madness, is now playing a serene Mozart piece.

To avoid facing her heavy past, a young woman with a borderline personality tries to seduce her strange neighbor. A singular love story between these two lonely and wounded souls is born, but will it be enough to save them from themselves?

A symphony in three movements. Things such as a Mediterranean cruise, numerous conversations, in numerous languages, between the passengers, almost all of whom are on holiday... Our Europe. At night, a sister and her younger brother have summoned their parents to appear before the court of their childhood. The children demand serious explanations of the themes of Liberty, Equality and Fraternity. Our humanities. Visits to six sites of true or false myths: Egypt, Palestine, Odessa, Hellas, Naples and Barcelona.
