Docu-drama, based on the screenplay by Strauß biographer and Grimme Prize winner Werner Biermann, traces the rise of the young Franz Josef: from the artisan milieu of Munich's Schellingstraße to one of the most prominent politicians in German post-war history - including experiences never before told on television by Strauß during his childhood and youth, during the Nazi era, during the war and immediately afterwards. These are experiences that shaped Strauß as a politician.
Nina and Karl are a perfectly normal, crazy couple. They can't live with or without each other. But suddenly, Nina can no longer stand the routine and decides to run away. There are two inns in the village of Hundsling, one too many. When Magdalena arrives for her mother's funeral, she sees how overwhelmed her father Xaver is with the family business, the “Rosi” inn. She decides to save it from ruin. In order to eliminate the competition, the “Casa Toni”, she resorts to quite unfair means. A fierce dispute divides the entire village.
Yalda, Solveigh and Lou have shared a close friendship since childhood. But when Solveigh suddenly takes her own life, Yalda and Lou are left with the lingering question: how could it come to this and which one of them is more suitable to take custody of Solveigh’s five-year-old daughter?
