On his deathbed, His Majesty Alfredo, King without a crown, is taken back to distant youth memories from the time when he dreamt of becoming a fireman. His encounter with instructor Afonso from the fire brigade, opens a new chapter in the life of the two young men devoted to love and desire, and the will to change the status quo.

Pê, a man with terminal cancer, wanders through his city, Lisbon. Throughout the day, he is confronted with a reality unaware of his suffering while he prepares his imminent death by writing a farewell letter to his daughter. When emptying her father’s house, the daughter discovers the letter. It is the beginning of a new encounter.
In the mid-1940s, in a Portugal mired in poverty and illiteracy, a group of boys work in the potteries of Alhandra, on the coast, collecting clay to make tiles and bricks. Gineto, Sagui, Malesso, Guedelhas and Gaitinhas form strong friendships and bonds of camaraderie, while dreaming of other places and embarking on liberating adventures, facing the harshness of work, the daily dramas of family life, hunger, abuse and injustice with courage, rebellion and determination. In the end, their unity always prevails in a world of adults who do not understand them.

During a company event, Yasemin, the successful PR manager, learns that her fiancee Yaman has been unfaithful to her. She faces a cathartic choice: continue living a lie or leave everything behind. On an instinct, she jumps on the first plane she finds and ends up in Lisbon. However upon arrival, her suitcase is lost, her credit cards are blocked, and she has nowhere to stay. Drifting toward a small seaside town, a sweet surprise awaits Yasemin: she must share the rental stone house with the owner, José. What begins as a clash of opposites turns into love. As a perfectionist and meticulous person, Yasemin confronts her fears to rediscover what truly matters: new beginnings, and gaining back the self-confidence she once had.
