In the summer of 2016, the director of this documentary film bought a bunch of discarded letters from a flea market in Izmir, Turkey. Written in the 70s, the letters were addressed to Kâzım Küçükal, who died during a mountain expedition in 1974, at the age of 19.
Bekir and Tayfur, two brothers who have been unable to get their business off the ground, send actors and dancers to various organizations through their agency. To turn their fortunes around, they organize a competition called "Similar Star," which brings together lookalikes of famous celebrities. Around this time, rumors spread that the world-famous star Das Borak was struggling with burnout syndrome and psychological issues, leading to the cancellation of his concerts one by one. As Borak starts losing big money, his organizer Hüseyin comes up with a brilliant solution when he meets Bekir: to replace the megastar with Bekir, who looks just like his twin...
This documentary visits Yildiz Sinema, which operated from 1953 to 1988 and which currently serves as an astro pitch in its old and tired building. The director and the old workers of the cinema wander among the dusty remnants of the building, which insistently reminds that it is actually a cinema building. They attempt to infuse Yildiz Cinema with life again through memories of the old workers.
