Keta is a professional makeup artist with a big butt and large thighs, but she also has big dreams. The truth is that Keta with her overweight, her addiction to marijuana and her pink hair can not get a job anywhere, so she ends up as a drug dealer handing out goods to her neighbor - who is addicted to all kinds of painkillers-, to an actress of soap operas as schizophrenic as a cocaine addict; also going through a swinger couple, a prude housewife, a not so prude nun and a host of characters that will surely make more than one viewer is reflected.
History of a Movement is a documentary where a group of friends recount their experiences in the #YoSoy132 student movement, reflecting on how it sparked other significant social movements like Ayotzinapa.
You’d never know this is your home away from home. The surveillance camera outside shows a drab reception area and an unremarkable street in Mexico City; inside, the lights flash, but the tables are empty. Yet preparations are soon underway and fixed categories cease to apply: stubble is removed, make-up applied and strands of hair are teased into place; the camera is trained not on the men themselves, but what they see in the mirror.
Carla and Andrés travel to Mexico City by bus and they stay in a hotel. It seems that they come to a concert. or at least that’s what they tell to their family and friends. What happens during that weekend can separate them forever, or unite them even more.
