Desi is a proud mama to a spirited 6-year-old, and a karaoke enthusiast. She began her career recurring on the Saturday morning TV show, "CityKids" alongside Jim Henson's Muppets. She is the Artistic Director of CityKids Rep, a program empowering teens to express themselves through ARTivism. Desi has appeared on "New Amsterdam," "Harlem," "The Blacklist," and "Broad City" in such roles as mechanic, nurse, court reporter, and witch, respectively. Her most recent TV success was finding the Apple Remote.

Lydia attends a bereavement group for people who have lost a loved one to cancer. As she hears the different stories of loss around the group and how grief has manifested itself in so many different ways, she is triggered to remember different memories during her father’s illness where each stage of grief affected her own life.
