Two hustlers on a journey from the suburbs to the capital. Tarta and Paragua are two street vendors who spend their unfortunate lives, with more sorrow than glory, working in the poorest neighborhoods of Greater Buenos Aires. Times are tough, and the crisis is hitting hard.
Nicolás, a retired widower, lives with his daughter, son-in-law, and grandson in a small rented home, supporting them with his meager pension. During the 2001 crisis in Argentina, Nicolás pursued his dream of building a house on a remote piece of land, just as he and his wife had dreamed. At a local cultural center, Nicolás began a free painting class despite the total opposition of his family, who considered him a hindrance to their lives.
Johan and his family are Mennonites from the north of Mexico. Against the law of God and Man, Johan falls in love with another woman.
