Dissatisfied with the inertia of her life, Susan struggles to reignite a fire in her heart, and discovers kindling in the most unlikely and dangerous of ways. As her penchant for pain threatens to consume her entire world, Susan must confront whether to let everything she knows, including her marriage and personal safety, go up in flames... 'Charred' weaves together themes of self-harm, sensuality, surreality and drives towards pleasure and destruction.
The film is set at Aztec Corp., a company that auctions off ancient antiquities and semi-distinct wild exotic animals.
Feeling abandoned by her therapist who's gone on an extended vacation, beautiful Lindsay gets help with her fear of commitment from an ad hoc support group formed by other New Yorkers also left high and dry by their shrinks. But when her pals dare her to date fellow group member A.J., Lindsay begins to wonder if she's finally found her match.
