A deckhand, Rolf Just Nilsen, is mistaken for pop singer Dickie Dons, also played by Rolf Just Nilsen, aboard the car ferry from Kiel to Oslo. The deckhand quickly settles into his new role and enjoys drinking champagne with the captain. However, things become more difficult as time goes on – not least because Dickie Dons turns out to be secretly married to his secretary.

Lieutenant Colonel Brusefjær, a highly regarded "administrative officer" from his time in London, is a man with a keen eye for everything that goes on around him, especially suspicious individuals. But now he wants to relax, and together with his grandson Lille-Bertram and his caretaker Ole Gliset, he mans the houseboat Caroline 11 and travels to Hankø. The police have just received alarming reports of widespread smuggling – probably based in the outer Oslo Fjord – and a trusted investigator, Reidar Nissen, is sent on vacation to Hankø.

Langåsen boarding school has its 50th year anniversary, and the students are to make a celebration show in the auditorium. Trouble is brewing when a school inspector is to visit the school at the same time.

One day, Laffen, a family man, homeowner, and watchmaker, overhears his 17-year-old son lecturing his younger siblings. He gives them a shocking analysis of their poor father. The father puts on his workout clothes and goes for a jog in the neighborhood, to the amusement of his neighbors and the despair of his family. After a lucky shot, he wins the gold medal in athletics.

High summer, and eight scouts are on a hike when they discover a hidden motorbike. The bike is hidden by two post office robbers. They leave the find, but the robbers take one a hostage.

Boy scouts get hold of a sailboat that they travel down the coast with. They get on the trail of some smugglers, whom they catch after several dramatic episodes.

We meet the young violinist Øyvind Dahl at a time when everything has weighed him down and he is completely desperate for alcohol. He has left his wife and children and has teamed up with emaciated artists and suspicious individuals, and obtains his daily liquor by mortgaging his last possessions, even the wedding ring, and by pitifully barring money.

The throne of ice skating sees a change of regent when Hans takes over as “The King”, and the sports press can’t seem to get enough of him.

Stein Oscar Magel Paus-Andersen (ST.O.M.P.A.) starts at Langåsen boarding school in Stakavik, where he meets his new friends Bodø, Bergen, Nøtterø and Sørlandet. They find themselves tangled up in troubles with a spider, a fire drill and a swimming contest leading to detention.
