Rodrigo is an actor from Tijuana who is constantly looking for opportunities for his career, but everything gets complicated when his best friend, Diana, decides to move to Mexico City also in search of opportunities, unaware of Rodrigo's true feelings towards her.

Rodrigo, a widowed father who lives in Tijuana with his mother and son, works undocumented at a hotel in San Diego, California. However, with the arrival of the COVID-19 pandemic, the border crossing is closed, triggering unfortunate events.
