In a society where children are not heard and traditions are not to be questioned, the peaceful life of a 5-year-old is disturbed by a terrible event that forces her to find a way to recover peace and save her loved ones.

Theo, a young American, moves to Mexico on a whim without telling his family. As he navigates his new life, new home, and new friends (and ignores his mother's worried calls) he's forced to reconcile his desire to discover himself with the noticeable lack of any sort of plan.
