The film "1/2" is a story about two neighbors separated by a thin wall. Klara’s daily life begins at 4:30 a.m. with the lifting of a creaking shutter, too loud radio news, and the vacuuming of an apartment. Nikša is losing his temper because of this. The human mind is sometimes capable of producing anything but reasonable verbal communication.

The story follows the usual workday of taxi driver Aleš Križnik, who could be described as an educated, probably graduated economist, owner of a once successful company, which unfortunately failed. As a taxi driver, he meets all sorts of people, and one late evening he takes one last call ...

Kovač and Dara, whose childhoods start badly, meet in an orphanage and get attached to each other. After ten years, when they are in their teens, and both share an immature view of the world, they accidentally meet again. Kovač is a gang leader, Dara lives a lonely life in her own enchanted world. Kovač's gang starts getting involved in more and more serious deals. When the rascals find themselves caught between loyalty to different mob bosses and running from corrupted policeman, their juvenile illusions disappear. The way back is hardly possible. Will the rascals manage to run beyond, will Kovac and Dara be able to save their wasted youths and begin new lives?

The main character of the story is 12 year-old Denis, a fan of actor Arnold Schwarzenegger and a faithful admirer of his films. The summer holidays begin. Most of Denis’s plans for the summer fall through. He regularly goes to the movies, gets together with friends who have remained in town, and unenthusiastically, but nonetheless, takes cake of his dog Arnie when his mother, a television journalist, is too busy. Taking his dog for a walk one evening, Denis witnesses the loading of harmful substances at a local chemical plant. A series of slightly unusual circumstances, holidays with boy scouts, a new friend - private detective Emil, his mother’s environmental contributions in TV shows and a longing for adventure lead Denis to follow the perpetrators, who unload the wastes in a national park. Denis’s adventures end happily for him and for all his family members, while the criminals are punished - as they should be.
