Nicholas Markarian, a filmmaker confined to a wheelchair, listens to the radio, tuned to a scientific station, in his apartment in a high-rise project. The program being broadcast concerns space travel. Suddenly, a strange cleric appears, followed by two creatures from Jupiter who are looking for a mysterious mineral that causes madness. From the planet Jupiter to the project where he lives, Nicholas Markarian slips into one of the most extraordinary adventures that his imagination has ever allowed him to live. In flashbacks we learn that his family had to flee from New York after his father uncovered a large case of corruption.
