Genesis In Concert, filmed in 1976 during the band's tour supporting the album A Trick Of The Tail, was the first long-form concert video featuring Phil Collins as lead vocalist, taking over from Peter Gabriel who had left the previous year. Supplementing Collins at percussion during this tour was Yes & King Crimson drummer Bill Bruford, whom Collins was a fan of and who volunteered for the job until a permanent touring drummer could be found. The movie combines film of two shows: one at the Apollo Theatre in Glasgow, Scotland on July 9, 1976, and one at Bingley Hall in Staffordshire, England on July 10, 1976. Long out of print on VHS and laserdisc, the film resurfaced as an extra on the band's 2007 CD+DVD reissue of A Trick Of The Tail. Released on November 11th 2013 on Panegyric Recordings, ‘Close to the Edge’ will be the first in a new series of expanded YES editions. In keeping with earlier releases in this series, Steven Wilson’s approach to this album for new stereo & 5.1 mixes is to faithfully retain the spirit & sounds of the original album mix, while applying modern mix techniques to bring further clarity to the individual instrument, vocal & overdubs for each track. The songs, instantly familiar to a multitude of Yes fans, remain so, with the new mixes – especially in 5.1 form – providing a greater sense of space for each voice to be heard, Anderson’s voice seems to join the listener in the room, Howe & Wakeman’s solos glisten with clarity & Bruford/Squire remind all that they were unmatched as a rhythm section during that period.

Voiceprint's researchers were able to secure rarely seen film footage that had only been previously seen either on TV or in extract on video. Although the history of Yes is well documented elsewhere, it is worth reminding ourselves of the history and background to the production that we can now view it for the first time on DVD. The performances featured on this DVD demonstrate the beginnings of the journey and the creativity of a band that has been so influential in the development of a genre that has defied time and generation so as to become the soundtrack and vision in so many lives. This musical release from the '70s progressive rock band Yes features live performances and music videos of several of the band's hits, including "Astral Traveller," "Everydays," "Then," and "No Opportunity Necessary, No Experience Needed."

Anderson Bruford Wakeman Howe live performance documentary

One of the most convoluted chapters in the history of progressive rock titans Yes -- and there are many -- is Anderson Bruford Wakeman Howe. In 1989 vocalist Jon Anderson, drummer Bill Bruford, keyboardist Rick Wakeman, and guitarist Steve Howe released the gold-selling Anderson Bruford Wakeman Howe album (complete with Roger Dean cover art) and embarked on a tour called "An Evening of Yes Music Plus." The Evening of Yes Music Plus DVD, directed by Jim Yukich, was filmed at the Shoreline Amphitheatre in Mountain View, CA -- the exact date is not listed in the credits -- and it presents a nearly equal blend of songs from the new album and Yes classics.

The film explores the “acute suffering” and transcendent glory experienced by current and former members of King Crimson, allowing the audience an intimate and sometimes uncomfortable insight into the musicians’ experience as they confront life and death head on in the world’s most demanding rock band.
