Bharati Achrekar, born on 15 October 1957, is a renowned Indian actress and singer known for her versatility in Hindi and Marathi films, television, and theatre. Her journey began with professional stage debut at the age of 17, where she portrayed Tansen's daughter. Her several landmark performances in Marathi showcased her range from comedic timing to profound emotional portrayals. Building on the foundation of her theatre experience, she transitioned into feature films with Apne Paraye in 1980. Achrekar has also made significant contributions to Marathi cinema through memorable supporting roles that often explored rural and urban family dynamics. Achrekar reprised her iconic role as Radhika Wagle in the rebooted sitcom Wagle Ki Duniya – Nayi Peedhi Naye Kissey, airing on Sony SAB f.
