Baset Rezaei is an Iranian actor, known for Dressage (2018), Mehran (2021), Fish and Puddle (2021), and Zalava (2021). He received his bachelor's degree in Theater Directing from Tehran University of the Arts. He started his career writing plays and directing in the theater and became a professional actor in cinema. He starred in the film Dressage (2018), which was honored in the Berlin Generation category. He also starred in Zalava (2021), which won the Venice Film Festival Critics' Week and Fipresci Priza Award.

In 1978, the inhabitants of Zalava, a small village in Iran, claim that there is a demon among them. While investigating the strange case, Massoud, a young police sergeant, crosses paths with an exorcist.
