During the Cold War, a local Polish officer and a young Soviet woman wedded to a Soviet officer are drawn together by music.

The fate of three Catholic priests were linked together through tragic events a few years back. Trybus, is a parish priest and often submits to human weaknesses. Kukuła also is not doing well. Despite his passion for faith, he is losing the trust of his flock. Soon, through new tragic events, the paths of the three priests will cross again.

The action takes place during the first presidential debate. A Nobel Prize winner fights for the future of her country as a presidential candidate. At the same time, her brave and naive aides are fighting for her own future.
