In the mountains of Northern Albania, a young man seeks revenge for his father's death. The murderer has disappeared a few months ago and the police is still looking for him. The young man kidnaps the killer's only son and raises him up until he reaches his 16th birthday, when according to the Kanun, the Albanian law of revenge, a child becomes a man and he is allowed to kill or to be killed.

A cat lover, Jesus leaving the cross and Christmas carollers holding pitchforks are set against a snowy and icy scenery. ‘Zima’, a psychodelic journey to a small fishing village, collects as if in a lens the behaviour, customs and vices of the Polish provinces. In this small community, different views, the behaviour of people and animals and their mutual relations clash like ice floes on a lake. Maintained in the convention of magic realism, this animation is like a horror playing out to the accompaniment of barking dogs and a punk metal music score.

On Friday evening, Janek has a meeting with his friend Bartek and his fiancée Justyna. Realizes that their relationship is in bad shape. He once had an affair with Justyna and sees a chance for himself when he is invited to a house party by them. Little did he know that he would be subjected to the final test that night.

Kuba and Jurek are friends. They work together clearing the forest and spend their free time together, too. Both live in the village of Olchówka where life goes by at its own unhurried rhythm - people know each other very well, the atmosphere is bucolic and leisurely. One day Kuba wakes up after a passionate night and finds himself in the middle of a field, accompanied by cows. Then he cannot find his mate. So he decides to look for the girl that they both met that night.

A pious 20-year-old juvenile delinquent is sent to work at a sawmill in a small town; on arrival, he dresses up as a priest and accidentally takes over the local parish. The arrival of this young, charismatic preacher is an opportunity for the local community to begin the healing process after a tragedy that happened a year prior.

Tomasz Komenda was 23 years old when his normal life was brutally interrupted. Overnight he was arrested, thrown into prison and charged with murder. Subsequent expert opinions confirmed his participation in the crime, and any evidence was against him. For nearly two decades in prison, he was beaten, intimidated, humiliated and on his own. Finally, after 18 years of imprisonment, prosecutors and a policeman appeared on his way, who decided to discover the truth behind the mysterious case of the detainee.
