Half a year has passed since the official approval of TOKYO MER. Kitami is racking his brains over the issue of a second doctor to replace Otowa, who has left the team in order to expand MER to ordinance-designated cities nationwide. Some members of the team want Hina to be promoted, but Otowa asserts that Hina should pursue her path of cardiovascular surgery. She felt the pressure that Hina could take Otowa's place, and she was troubled.

The individuals that comprise the Tokyo MER team rush to on-site disasters and accidents, performing life-saving treatment thanks to the OR equipped within their vehicle. Their one mission is simple: leave no one dead. But conflicts arise when an unprecedented event rocks Yokohama after a bomb explodes in Landmark Tower, leaving thousands fighting to escape. Although the chief doctor Kitami believes they should not wait and presses for a quick dispatch, the more level-headed Chief Kamoi of the elite Yokohama MER thinks otherwise — they need to wait until the area is safe to enter, or they won’t be able to save anyone.

High school student Aya Tsukimori becomes cursed and is unable to leave her school dormitory. Meanwhile, many students begin reporting ghost sightings at the school, while others go missing and are later discovered to have drowned mysteriously. Soon, Aya attempts to communicate with fellow student Michi Kazato, who begins investigating the disappearances of her friends.

Kazuyuki Kuga aspires to become an actor. He auditions for the lead role in a theater company's next work. Among the 300 people who take part in that audition, only 7 people are selected for a final audition round. Kazuyuki Kuga is among the final 7 participants. These 7 people then travel to a snowy mountain villa and stay there for 4 days to take the final audition. By the director's orders, all contact with the outside world are not allowed. Soon, the participants begin to disappear one by one.

39-year-old Yuko is a high-achieving and proud woman whose career ambitions took her from a sleepy part of Amagasaki City, to Tokyo. When she loses her job due to her “high standards” attitude, she loses her drive to do anything and ends up retreating to her family home where she lives as a NEET with her laidback joker of a father, Ryutaro. For years, the two get along until her 70-something old man brings home Saki, his 20-year-old bride-to-be. When the younger woman shacks up with the two, a comedy of manners based, quite understandably, on a scandalised Yuko’s “you’re not my mom!” attitude ensues as the younger woman takes to mothering her but when crises occur, Yuko truly begins to evaluate just what a family can be.

Utopia was a tower of hope, but it was a tower of despair created by human desires. In Utopia, they were researching the only way to save this world: a vaccine against the monster called Golem. One girl with special antibodies was used as research material. Her name is Mirai, the daughter of Hibiki Mamiya. Hibiki decides to rescue Mirai together with five men who have gathered in Utopia. The men are trying to rescue their loved ones, to save their family and friends, and to steal food and money to survive. Although each of them has their own non-negotiables and some rebellion, they gradually come to resonate with Hibiki's beliefs and decide to fight together.
