Kadarwati, a young Javanese student in 1940s Singapore, is forced to become a 'comfort woman' by the occupying Japanese military

Amalia SH is a lawyer from the Legal Aid Institute. He visits his best friend, Frans, who is being held for extortion. Frans doesn't want to be defended. Amalia is curious. From the results of his investigation, she found Frans's diary at his parents' house. From the diary it was concluded that Frans had been naughty since childhood, his father had kicked him out for stealing. He then lived a vagrant life, until he was accommodated to become a debt collector in a company. It is in this job that he becomes acquainted with and befriends Bambang and Amalia. Frans secretly loves Amalia but doesn't dare to tell it.

The villagers, who normally consult a shaman for their health issues, are not used to modern medical doctors. The tension tises when a patient who used to be treated by shaman, dies and there’s nothing that Robert can do. Meanwhile, Siska suffers an unexplainable illness and also dies. Strange illnesses then start to emerge in surrounding villages. Finally, the doctor and the shaman help each other. When the shaman is dying, the doctor treats him.

Minah wants to move her granddaughter to move to the village. The dream was destroyed, the compilation of the train they were riding in a collision. Most films try to redraw the crash event. Grandma Minah became a victim. The only survivor is Juned, while his left must be amputated.

Nick and Arini finally marry despite their big age difference that leads to conflicts. Nick and Arini try to cope, and even decide to see a psychiatrist. She is then taken to the hospital and has a Caesarean. Meanwhile, Nick finds out the truth of the whole incident and goes to the hospital to apologise. The marriage survives.
