Biography
Asha Kale is an actress in India's Marathi Language film industry. She was given the V. Shantaram lifetime achievement award by the State Government of Maharashtra in 2010. She started acting at the young age of 14 with Marathi plays. She has completed formal education in Kathak, and used to conduct dance performances. Her name after marriage is Gauri Madhav Naik, but she continued with the same onstage name. Her early education happened in Kolhapur and Pune. 'Tambdi Mati' was her first movie and 'Seemevarun Parat Jaa' was her first commercial theatre play.

Police Commissioner Krishnakant Deshmukh and his family are very religious and god fearing. His son Kapil is in love with Swati and despite their horoscopes not matching, he marries her, much to the annoyance of his parents. Days pass by but Swati can't bear a child. A dacoit named Lakhan Pal kidnaps a girl called Chandrika. He tries to rape her along with his gang members. When his gang is attacked Lakhan escapes with his family to his wife's father's place. He gives up being a criminal but years later it still affects Sunil.
