A group of free-spirited young men and women, living in a hippie-like manner, lead a life of indulgence and carelessness. When the father of one of the girls leaves on a trip, he entrusts her to the local motorcycle mechanic. The young biker makes every effort to warn her about the dangerous consequences of her reckless lifestyle.
A number of the mine workers have gone on strike. Ebraam, who is the workers’ representative, is forced—under the employer’s threats—to sign a contract that makes conditions even tighter for the workers. Overcome with shame and guilt, Ebraam hangs himself, and the townspeople force his wife and his sons, Aslaan and Salim, to leave their home. They move south, and years later Aslaan, by working at the Port Authority, manages to provide Salim with the means to study. Salim goes to the capital to continue his education, and Aslaan enters the service of Farrokh in order to steal the property of Teymour, the port’s contractor.
Hamoon's wife is leaving him. He is also unsuccessfully trying to finish his Ph.D. thesis. He is forced to reexamine his life. In a series of flashbacks and dreams, Hamoon tries to figure out what he did wrong.
A young girl named Azar is left alone after her parents' death. He witnesses Kowsar committing murder. Azar escapes from Kowsar; But it gets trapped. Kowsar promises to take care of Azar. Years pass and Azar grows up. Kowsar, who lives with his wife, accepts the offer of two men's cooperation to rob a jewelry store, and after carrying out the robbery, runs away with the jewelry. He entrusts Azar not to attend his funeral after his death to remain anonymous. Kowsar's accomplices take him off his feet and spy on Kowsar's wife and Azar to get the stolen jewels. The police detective calls Azar and warns him about the criminals. With the cooperation of Azar, the police manage to trap the group of criminals
