René is sitting in his car driving through his drab reality. Suddenly, he has to sneeze. He pauses and listens. After a few quiet moments, he murmurs, “Bless you”. Then he moves towards the camera and continues: “I am a scream without an echo.” The film is the tragicomedy of a man searching for his echo, the way out of his loneliness. All paths are blocked and his quest becomes more and more of an odyssey. Evading his own insanity and narrowly escaping death, he gradually notices that the search can only end with oneself.

Bonitão wants to "scam" the daughter of a wealthy man on the verge of bankruptcy. A gang following him kidnaps the girl and her cousin. With the help of A.N.C.O.L. agents and his friend Malóca, he frees the girls and accepts the failed marriage.

Considered a young terror among women, Ricardo unexpectedly begins to suffer from a strange phobia to noise pollution. That means that any noise during sex leads to a "sexual aversion". A famous psychologist - among other women - cannot cure him. The situation gets worse when his phobia jeopardizes his father's political pretensions. So the whole city, especially his father's girlfriend, decide to help find a cure for the boy.
