A shipwrecked man is washed ashore in Mykonos and saved by a hotel employee. He suffers from amnesia and soon becomes romantically involved with his savior. The hotel owner falls in love with him in turn, but reports him to the police as a suspect in murder and antiquities trafficking. However, his innocence is quickly proven and the man returns to the woman who saved him.
A young factory guard falls in love with Mirella, his boss's wife, and together they plan and carry out the murder of the latter. They get married, but the young man is tormented by remorse. The conflict between them culminates when Mirella stages an accident, leaving her husband paralyzed. He kills her and suffers further humiliation.
Aristos, a ship worker and singer at a popular tavern in the evening, is preparing to marry a poor girl, Maryio. One night at the shop comes the rich Elena, which hides the truth about her financial situation, he falls in love with her and separates him from Maryio. However, after an accident, the real identity of Elena is revealed, as is the fact that she is betrothed. Elena, seeing the misfortune she has scattered around her, pretends that Aristos was just an adventure for her and lets him return to Maryio.
A poor accountant, but with the enigmatic name Agisilaos Onassis (Kostas Voutsas), who dreams of a great life, suddenly learns that he only has a month left to live. He abandons everything and, with the savings he has on his side, is leaving on an island to spend this last month of his life as rich.
Babis (Nikos Rizos), after his release, finds it difficult to balance between the groups with the guys and jobber of Piraeus, and the strict surveillance of the police, who closed the once in prison. He will try to sell the alleged Byzantine icons that makes a fellow prisoner, but will be arrested. It will be released as there were images of value, and will be informed that the mother of the same (Mary Metaxa) alerted the police to remove him from the unlawful activity.
The main story is about a monastery where nuns smoke weed and pretend to be lesbians and is extremely random and doesn't really make any sense at any point!
It concerns the sinful life and scandals of Metropolitan of Preveza, who was involved in various suspicious cases. His activity is described in the darker colors and the subject gets political dimensions, in relation to the prevailing situation within the Greek Church.
A section of the National Resistance, led by Andreas, plans an act of sabotage against the occupiers. Martha offers valuable assistance in achieving their goals, thanks to her relationship with an SS officer. The first phase of the sabotage involves stealing documents from Nazi headquarters. The mission is successful, but the Germans' retaliation is terrible. They discover, arrest, and execute all members of the resistance group. They kill Martha and Fritz. Andreas leaves to continue the resistance in the Middle East.
