A genuine satiric comedy, based on real conversations - both amusing and sad - overheard by a journalist in one of the most expensive Moscow restaurants. Hilarious and revealing, this is a film about women who choose between affection and money, film producers that don't really know what they're filming, and weary businessmen who sometimes say screw it, down a shot and leave their mother-in-laws to pay the bill. But most of all, it's about true love that favors noisy kitchen floor over gilded fine-dining halls.

There's two great loves in Anya's life, her athlete boyfriend Zhenya and food. Zhenya is not happy how Anya has been gaining weight due to her eating habits and decides to dump her. But Anya doesn't want to give up and decides to get rid of excess weight with the help of Nikolai, an overweight man obsessed with the healthy living.

Alexey Zaitsev is a professional showman. Restless agent and endless activities further and further alienate Zaitsev from the beloved. But the main problem is that he's been lying to everyone all his life, since kindergarten. And once the showman decides to experiment, after which all and he begins to tell the truth…

What is love? The heroes of the film try to answer this question. A series of the most different characters and their stories are woven together. Small stories about various things, all about love: a young pair who prefer to live through images of Japanese anime-heroes; a secretary who receives an obscene offer from her boss; a Japanese woman who arrives in Moscow in search of a Russian man; a graffiti artist in search of beauty; an ex-wife employed by her husband for an unusual task; and many other things...

The second part of the film “About Love”. Moscow, summer 2016. A new lecture, a new lecturer with a new theme: “How to preserve love in the modern world” – and five new stories about love. The heroes still suffer, struggle for love, even more often get into absurd and ridiculous situations, and yet they trust in love even more.

After a series of life troubles Anya decides to completely change her life. She takes out a dusty bicycle, puts her dachshund Kapa in the trailer and sets o! to the most remote town in Russia to reconcile with her mother whom she has not been in touch with for 13 years. A resident of big city, Anya is not tough enough for a 10,000-kilometer road, injured feet, dangers and trials. Will she be able to cope with the di"iculties that a long road full of incredible meetings and amazing landscapes has prepared for her?

Oleg is a young gifted paramedic. His wife Katya works as a nurse at the hospital emergency department. She loves Oleg, but is fed up with him caring more about patients than her. She tells him she wants a divorce. The new head of Oleg’s EMA department is a cold-hearted manager who’s got new strict rules to implement. Oleg couldn’t care less about the rules – he’s got lives to save; his attitude gets him in trouble with the new boss. The crisis at work coincides with the personal life crisis. Caught up between their patients, alcohol-fueled off-shifts, and an evolving health care system, Oleg and Katya have to find the binding force that will keep them together.

What happens in fairy tales after the wedding of the prince and princess? Figure skater Nadia and hockey player Sasha got married and more than anything else they dream of a child. True, the price they will have to pay for this dream will be unimaginably high. After such upheavals, it seems impossible to count on a happy ending. On the eve of the new year, the Barvikha Severnoe police station is threatened with closure. All day long the TV shows an ice-hole. Ice-holes are the theme of the day, a winter tradition that unites believers and sportsmen, stars and walruses, the president and the unemployed. In the centre of the news reports are the topics of Baptism, fishing and the criminal chronicle. The president and a pike, the artist and the crit- ics, the oligarch and the law enforcement team – they all meet at an ice- hole in search of solutions for their problems. The jobless Muscovite, with bad habits, dives down an ice-hole for a wife, just like Sadko. The fairy- tale plots intertwine with documentary context, and it is no longer clear where reality ends. Remember Nietzsche: if you long gaze into the abyss, the abyss will also gaze into you.
