In the 1990s post-communist Slovakia, former woods worker Miki takes his chances to start doing business at a local level and climb up the ladder to become the biggest mafia boss in the country.

Majka "Chatterbox" is a girl entering adolescence. She was born with a minor disability. While her mother keeps scolding her for the way she walks, her classmates mock her and call her a "duck". Along an innocent first love affair and a secret friendship, she receives little understanding from her parents and lots of malice from her schoolmates. Majka finds refuge with her grandmother and in her own fantasy world.

In the late 1980s, several films were made that wanted to come to terms with the crimes of Stalinism, but they did so with a very alibi - they basically communicate that it is enough to remove the erroneous deviation of the communist regime for this social system to become fully humane again. This also applies to the immediate post-war fates of former front-line fighters - one fought in the Soviet Red Army, another in the English Air Force, another was a soldier in the Slovak Army. The difficult character check will only be completed by the 20th Congress of Soviet Communists, which condemned recent blunders. The film was made based on a proposal by former Foreign Minister Bohuslav Chňoupek.

A sociological drama with a detective plot taking place in the period of industry and agriculture collectivization of the 1950s. Peter Lánik, a young lawyer, during a trial finds out that whom he thought to be his father is in fact only his stepfather. Little by little he learns about the tragic life of his parents as well as about the dramatical atmosphere of the forced cooperativization of village farms.

This adaptation of the classic 18th century novel depicts the carefree life of a noble society that has lost its historical relevance and perspective. The young nobleman de Meilcour narrates his entry into social life and the uncertainties he experiences. He searches for pure love, but does not find it in a corrupt world. He encounters vice, coldness, cynicism and pretense.

After the death of a forest engineer who was deeply connected to nature, his younger brother naturally takes care of his widow and daughter. Their quiet understanding and shared knowledge of the one who is no longer with them gradually grows into something more.
