Summer 1938. Emma and Zala go on a trip to the house where they went on holiday to visit their cousin Lucija as girls. While Emma paints the house in the garden, Zala sets out to explore the dusty interior. The mysterious empty building is marked by the ghosts of past summers, children’s laughter, fear and a tragic ending.

The Wracked piano is a movie of an old, abandoned piano Bösendorfer model 225, who lives in the studio of Radio Slovenia. The story is being told in a documentary language through fiction and animation.

However, this hobby is not to the liking of France's wife Marija (Silva Čušin) and his daughter Mateja (Anja Drnovšek). The daughter as a representative of the young generation has no understanding of her father's enthusiasm for partisans, battles and Tito. France is also confronted by the Slovenian police led by the commander Brane (Dario Varga) as Brane forbids France to stage any more battles ... Will the young generation accept our history and will Trieste be ours?

After trying his luck in Berlin, Mitja returns to Slovenia where he is greeted by his boyfriend Bojan. The reunion turns out to be less than ideal as Mitja struggles to tell Bojan a secret that could cost him their relationship. But before he finds the right moment, things quickly get out of hand.
