Some Days are Better Than Others is a poetic, character-driven film that asks why the good times slip by so fast while the difficult times seem so sticky. The film explores ideas of abundance, emptiness, human connection and abandonment while observing an interweaving web of awkward characters who maintain hope by inventing their own forms of communication and self-fulfillment.

"Good Grief" is a loose version of the "Peanuts" gang (notice the names) as high school kids who are into role play games. A group of seniors who have been into a fantasy role playing game named Monsters & Mayhem has begun to expand into normal teen activities, but Chuck wants the gang to stick with the games. Chuck has the idea to use their spring break to go off on a real treasure hunt for a golden statue that was buried for a publishers publicity stunt and never found.
Two with-it young physicists are being chased by a sinister exec and her pair of goons, as well as a matched set of small-eyed G-men in black, all in pursuit of a math-nerd who's made off with a mysterious high-tech secret and vanished with his new girlfriend from space. The word "caper," you'll agree, was invented for just this situation.

They disagree on everything, but they have one thing in common: Mickey's ex-fiance Heather is Francis's secret love.
