A comedy about Swedish Vikings. Osvald is a pleasant but very cowardly viking that falls in love with the beautiful Hildegun. She on the other hand is very impressed by more heroic vikings. In order to gain Hildegun's love Osvald tries to become more heroic.
A group of tourists are shown Tjolöholm caste, by a guide (Peter Rangmar), who speaks home made, incomprehensible english.

A man is assigned to measure out land for subdivision on an estate. People and animals behave strangely, and the man hears a strange story about a woman who disappeared without a trace from the estate twenty years earlier.
