Faan se Trein is about a simple-minded man living in a tiny Karoo community. When his father dies, leaving all his possessions to Faan and the church, greed rears its head and divides the community... Until love restores their sanity.

A rugby player admits to having a crush on his best friend/teammate, causing a rift. He retreats into a fantasy world with an imaginary friend, as he struggles to confront his real friend, while trying to fit into the macho world of rugby.
