The Spanish Deep South, 1980. A series of brutal murders of adolescent girls in a remote and forgotten town bring together two disparate characters – both detectives in the homicide division – to investigate the cases.
Marina, a young Andalusian actress, discovers that her grandmother's Alzheimer's disease is already very advanced during a visit to her Catalan family. The situation worsens when she sees how her mother and the others treat the disease with humor. Between coffee after lunch and her grandmother's return to the nursing home, Marina will have to decide what role she plays within her estranged family and whether or not to forgive her mother's behavior.
