Julia, a Brazilian student in her last semester of college in New York City is left with very few alternatives to financially provide for herself and finish school and must choose between surrendering to her conservative family and surrendering herself to a stranger.

Five immigrant women from four different countries: Brazil, Romania, Italy, and Turkey navigate expectations, stereotypes, and cultural shocks in the United States, all while trying to hold on to their own identity. Through a series of sketches and a few short scenes based on real conversations, the women poke fun at people’s preconceived notions about their cultures, but also raise important questions regarding their status in the US.
