Cog, a boring man in need of social interaction goes to a networking event in order to meet people that will pretend to have real conversations with him in exchange for business cards. At the event, he meets an array of increasingly strange and surreal characters.

Salah, Yusef's schoolmate from a well-off Arab family strives faithfully to assist them, while Yusef helps an elderly, blind neighbor escape from his lonely abandonment into the North American dreamworld he's waited so long for.
