Nilüfer goes to his aunt in Istanbul for his education without telling his father. He meets Ahmet, a young taxi driver in Istanbul. Nilüfer and Ahmet will fight to be together.

Haluk, who is trying to take revenge on his fiancee Handan, who cheated on him, proposes to Zeynep on a contractual basis. Handan, who learns that Haluk and Zeynep got married, resorts to various games to separate the two.

The film tells the story of how Suphi brings together the people around him in the imaginary world he has created. Suphi's girlfriend İffet dies in an accident. Feeling responsible for the accident, Suphi loses his sanity. He begins to construct a story in his mind. In the story, İffet is first killed. The autopsy reveals that İffet was killed using one of the methods that leave no trace. His brother-in-law, Professor İsmail Sami, directs suspicion toward Suphi. Suphi begins to uncover the truth behind the events with the help of Meryem, İsmail Sami's assistant. However, as Suphi himself begins to doubt the truth, the events take a complicated turn.

Kadir is a vagrant gambler. One night, when luck is on his side, he sees Paprika, a gypsy girl, at the casino. He gives Paprika all the money he has won. However, when he gets into a fight with those who are harassing Paprika, the course of the night changes. Kadir is stabbed in the fight. A casino owner finds Kadir by chance and takes him to singer Lale's house to recover. Lale falls in love with Kadir the moment she sees him. But Kadir's heart belongs to Paprika. When Kadir recovers and becomes a partner in the casino, Paprika also starts working with them. However, achieving happiness will not be easy for them.

The film deals with the hardships of village life, telling of the cruelty of the village chief towards the villagers. Despite these hardships, it tells of the struggle of the young man nicknamed Yabancı (The Stranger).
