The bullfighter Marcial Lalanda financed and starred in this film about the rivalry between two bullfighters for the ill-fated love of the same woman. It features scenes of bullfights shot by Enrique Blanco using polychromatic film for the first time in Spain. Considered one of the greatest Spanish silent films.
First film adaptation of the play by Enrique Pérez Escrich. Angela's brother is the most important bandit in Salamanca and is killed by Angela's husband. She does not say that he is her brother, and her husband believes that he was her lover, so the child she is waiting for is abandoned in the house of the village priest.
