Tim Devon was born out of wedlock and his mother never told his father about him. Overwhelmed, Tim leaves Los Angeles in search of his father-armed with only a name and the city of Amsterdam as clues. When funds run out, Tim begins the downward spiral into a life of crime and drug use. He is encountered by a single caring person.

Comedy featuring interweaving stories of seven households caught up in a property chain on moving day, each one dependent on the other.

Focuses on the Kwame Nkrumah era in Ghanaian history and paints a portrait of a female African government minister forced into exile after a coup d'état in 1966. Two decades later, she returns to confront the country she left behind.

The film follows Gabriel Angel (Rakie Ayola), a young Caribbean aviator who falls in love with the forger Duncan Stewart (Jonathan Pryce) on her journey to England. Stewart is pursued by his nemesis Rex Goodyear (John Hurt), and the group are supported by Dr Angela Bead (Vanessa Redgrave) and Miss Gwendolyn Quim (Dorothy Tutin), retired missionaries who become lovers during the voyage.

Steve and Jane Clemant live a seemingly conent and happy life. They are both successful, professional people with a comfy home and a wide circle of friends. But each one has a secret similiar to the other; a plot to murder. And, that plot is on each other. Jane imagines killing Steve, who is actually more capable of killing Jane, but each of their lovers are connected amongst their many friends and a brilliant plot starts to unfold........
