Bert Kreischer faces a familial crisis and the arrival of his estranged father when the ghost of his booze-soaked past arrives: a murderous mobster hellbent on kidnapping Bert back to the motherland to atone for his crimes. Together, he and his father must retrace the steps of his younger self in the midst of a war between a sociopathic crime family while they attempt to find common ground.
Uroš is a respected, award-winning writer from Belgrade, former professor, who lives with his wife and son. He is in creative crisis for some time, while his wife was unhappy and stuck in a marriage with him. Their relationship comes to the end, when Uroš finds evidences of cheating.

This film depicts his struggle to train, lose weight, learn the tactics and eventually win the race. After the NATO bombing of Yugoslavia in 1999, the Yugoslav army pulls out of Kosovo region, leaving Serbian people at the mercy of the Albanian UCK. A small band of soldiers must take over the Slatina airport, and hold it until the Russian peacekeepers arrive.
