In 2018, a group of nine women filed a complaint against two of their teachers at Lleida’s Theatre School for sexual abuse carried out between 2001 and 2008, when they were teenagers. It was too late. Due to fear, embarrassment, because they took so long to understand and digest what had happened, the complaint arrived when the statute of limitations had expired and the case had been closed. What they didn’t know is that, despite the statute of limitations having expired, their statements were opening a new door where, perhaps, all was not lost.

Sucs, 2017. Carmeta, Mari and Pilar are three old ladies who spend every afternoon sitting on a bench, next to the main street of their village. The arrival of a mysterious pair of girls turns into the main topic of discussion among the women. From their strategic location, they greet every passer-by while talking about the age, origin and life style of the two new arrivals.

A woman’s abusive partner dies suddenly during a seemingly ordinary dinner at home. Paramedics tell her they cannot remove the body for 48 hours due to overcrowding in local morgues. So, the body of the man is confined to their guest room which is then sealed. Yet, despite this, due to the nature of their relationship, the situation takes a severe toll on her and she suffers from being so alone in this situation. Now, locked up with the corpse of her tormentor for two days, she will have to face her fears, frustrations and worst demons…
