Ahmed Hafez Mazhar (October 8, 1917 – May 8, 2002) was an Egyptian actor. He graduated from the military academy in 1938 and his colleagues included Gamal Abdel Nasser and Anwar Sadat. His acting career started in 1951 when he was picked for a role in Zehour Al-Islam because of his riding skills and his proper pronunciation of classical Arabic. In 1957, he retired as commander of the special cavalry units and decided to explore his acting talents. Mazhar's breakthrough in the world of acting came after he succeeded in playing the role of an evil prince in the famous movie Roda Qalbi (Return My Heart) which was his third movie. Other roles soon followed, including Al-Tarik Al-Masdood (1958), Al-Ataba Al-Khadraa (1959), Doaa al-Karawan (1959), Wa Islamah (1961), Al-Dowa Al-Khafet (1961) and Ghadan Youm Akhar (1961). He starred in an American movie, Cairo (1963), starring George Sanders and Faten Hamama. More than four years later, Mazhar appeared in Shafika and Metwali alongside Soad Hosny. Other films like Al-Nemr Al-Aswad, Demoue Sahebat El-Galalah, Al-Gasousa Hekmat Fahmy, and The Guns and the Fury soon followed.

Wajih heads to Alexandria and lives in one of the apartments there, despite the owner’s objection at first because he is single. Then engineer Anwar, who is going through special circumstances, joins him in the residence.

Nahid's father dies and his cousin Fadel approaches her, and later marries her. Ramzy, Fadel's cousin, visits them and tries to flirt with Nahid. Fadel tries to kill Ramzy, but Nahid saves him. Ramzy runs away with Nahid to a boarding house and tries to assault her, but she evades him and rejects him. Then Ramzy gets involved in killing his friend's (honor) while they are gambling, and the events unfold.

Nemat (Lebleba) is a girl searching for her mother who has been away from her for fifteen years and has traveled to Casablanca. Nemat is upset with her father Afifi Bey (Ahmed Mazhar) who does not want to help her, so she decides to return to Egypt to get her mother's inheritance. She meets Ahmed (Hatem Zulfikar) who invites her to dinner. While they are eating, they meet Najaf (Safiya Al-Omari) and Khashaba (Abdel Moneim Madbouly), the show artists, who we discover are related to Ahmed and are a group of swindlers.

The prisoner Hassan confesses to Lieutenant Bahaa that the leader of the drug gang who caused his imprisonment is Saeed, a businessman who is his colleague in the pharmaceutical company he owns, and that Saeed manufactures drugs from chemicals intended for the production of medicines. Bahaa devises a plan to trap Saeed by getting Hassan out of prison. Hassan and Saeed meet and he asks him for a sum of money in exchange for not confessing to the police. Due to the difficulty of procuring the sum, he asks him to hand over a quantity of drugs.

Qesmat is at crossroads as she suffers from her husband's neglect just as she encounters the open-minded Hesham who breathes new life and paints new color into her life. Rather unconsciously, she draws a constant comparison between her constantly-busy husband and Hesham.

The story revolves around Omar Al-Hamzawi, a lawyer who lives with his wife Zainab and their two daughters Jamila and Buthaina. Omar has many thoughts about life and existence. After his illness, he travels to Alexandria to get out of his depression, but it increases after his return. His orientations change after his return and he becomes a nightclub goer. He also gets to know the singer Margaret and many other women after that. His life changes again towards isolation, Sufism, and reading the Quran.

The events revolve around a small family consisting of a couple and two children. One day, the wife dies, leaving the husband with two children to raise alone. He decides to marry again so that his wife can help him raise the children, but after that he commits suicide because he declares bankruptcy, and the second wife finds herself facing a great responsibility.

The student Nawal meets the writer Ahmed Sharaf El-Din, who is looking for a new face for a new film he wants to write. She learns to dance, sing and drink. She meets the director Raouf. In the middle of the first experience and her encouragement of Ahmed, the director casts his net on her. Her mother dies, and Nawal lives with Ahmed but refuses to marry him, hoping to become a famous star.
