A group of protesters, from all around Lithuania, gather at the Television Tower to protect it from approaching Soviet tanks and paratroopers.
Iskyss is a strong and poetic love story based on Gunvor Galtung Haavik’s double life through 30 years. During the Cold War, she was employed by the Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and assigned to the Norwegian Embassy in Moscow. With the information she had access to in the capacity of her position as interpreter and secretary, she frequently fed the KGB secret information.
Based on a true story, this is the love affair between a Lithuanian genius and the woman and the country he adored. Mikalojus Konstantinas Ciurlionis was born into a Lithuanian peasant family in 1875. Despite his lowly origins he soon revealed himself to be a child prodigy able to both paint and compose music of startling and often frightening intensity. Soon after he was struck down by a mysterious mental illness, which would plague him for the rest of his life. During his short lifetime, Ciurlionis produced over 300 paintings and 300 musical compositions. Supporting him throughout his short and painful life was his beloved wife, Sofija Kymantaite, a journalist and political activist.
The four men --Petuchauskas, Rainis, Rexas, and Kanopa-- form a band, hoping to surprise the world with their music. Their journey to the Olympus of Glory is full of surprises, falls, and curiosities, especially after the strange hair manager LEO takes over to lead the group. Their lives are full of passion, loss, and frustration, because everyone falls in love with the same muse -- a traveling girl named Inda. Their music spreads the romance of "flowers and children" and the nostalgia of lost times, because they are the Last Musicians in Bremen.
