Thibodeaux, a young gay San Franciscan, yearns to reject his parents' hedonistic ways. But when his emerging sexual desires repeatedly get the better of him, he conjures up twisted, self-repressive rationalizations that threaten to drive away his friends and the hunky, mythic man of his dreams.

Dave and Joe, just evicted from their Oakland apartment, turn to stealing cars and dealing Fluoride to make their financial ends meet. One night they find Summer Hayes, star of a popular 1990's teen soap, in the trunk of a stolen automobile. Shoot-outs, car chases, and overdoses ensue. In the Fluoride heightened world of "Medias Res", nothing is what it at first appears to be.

After a chance meeting with an attractive stranger, a spellbound admirer returns to the same bar and tries to recreate his first encounter. With each nightly visit, a far more sinister and surreal pattern emerges beneath this man’s naïve attempts.

After being physically attacked by his loving wife Carmen, a series of unsettling incidents lead her husband Pat to question just what is happening to her. It's only when Carmen can't find her own house one day, that she and Pat are ready to face the unimaginable: Carmen has early onset Alzheimer's. As her cognition deteriorates, and the time draws closer when Carmen will no longer even recognize her devoted husband, Pat finds refuge in the only place left that the disease can't reach -- his memories of their life together.

A gay couple's once-perfect relationship is turned upside-down as they deal with the loss of their daughter in opposite and conflicting ways. Both men understand that they will have to find some way to move forward, but it’s unclear whether they’ll be able to do it together.
