August Eighth - story of an ordinary young woman. Ksenia's life is not too happy. Problem at work, problem in personal life, problem with mother, a baby requiring constant cares... Ksenia want to spend a few days in Sochi with new boyfriend, and mom sends her son Artem to the boy's father on Caucasus. But Georgia started war and she must overcome fear, overcome circumstances, she must save her child...

An ordinary city boy comes with his dad to visit his grandfather in the village. There he is met by not very friendly local guys and a girl with whom he immediately falls in love. Grandfather constantly tells funny stories about his glorious military past, which open up a completely new, magical world for him, teach him the main values ​​​​of life and make a real man.

The village of Khuap, Abkhazia. Amra, a well-known rebel and prankster, is about to graduate from school. Her lifelong dream is to become an actress, and her mother Nutsa's dream is to successfully marry off her two older sisters as soon as possible. Amra does not want the same fate, so she fraudulently applies for acting, assuring Nutsa that she is entering medicine. However, the plan fails when her mother finds out that her daughter has been leading her on. There can be no talk of entering acting, since Nutsa considers all actresses unworthy. The disappointed mother tells Amra that she will only take care of her fate after she marries off her older daughters. Now, to fulfill her dream, Amra needs to speed up the marriage of her older sisters or run away from home.

The movie is based on the events in South Ossetia in August 2008, and portraying a brutal Georgian army engaging in ethnic cleansing at the behest of its omnipresent American masters.
