A strange love story set in Las Vegas.

Ari Rose is a failing actor who cannot distinguish between reality and fantasy. He first dreams about and then meets in real life a mysterious woman named Helen. A seemingly mutual obsession ensues, but gradually spirals downward into a web of desire and misperception.

A woman from Paris, Bernadette, comes to the United States after being promised a job. When she arrives, however, she learns that she is a victim to a hoax. Unable to return to France, Bernadette looks for work while staying with her close friend Shirley, an actress looking for her big break. Their friendship is challenged when Bernadette finds herself falling in love with Shirley's boyfriend.

Meet the denizens of New York City: artists, prostitutes, saints, and seers. All are aspiring toward either fame or oblivion while hoping for love and acceptance. Instead they find high rent, faithless partners, and dead-end careers.

Joe Dylanne, a tough New York City police officer, is summoned to Northern California at the behest of Katy Greer, an old flame. Katy desperately needs Joe's help after the brutal killings of much of her family at the hands of rural marijuana dealers. Upon arriving in the area, Joe discovers that local law enforcement isn't helpful, and he must team up with Katy's survivalist nephew, to take down the murderous criminals.

Three childhood girlfriends reunite at the parents' remote cottage where they try and come to grips with their separate development and diverging interests. Then a man with a secret shows up and lies his way into their situation. They take turns falling in love with him and then suspecting he is not being level with them, which causes a strain in their already strained relationship. Eventually they must make a decision on whether to get rid of him or flee.
