Mohamed is a soldier who finds himself in Gaza after the defeat in the 1967 War. He returns to his native village feeling broken and depressed after witnessing the deaths of his fellow soldiers. He still loves Fatima but her father wants her to marry Abbas who exploits the farmers and eventually rapes her.

Saadia abandons Salah and marries his rich brother, Gaber. When Saadia loses her child, the police find a baby and she claims that he's her baby while another woman is fighting over the child.

Wajih heads to Alexandria and lives in one of the apartments there, despite the owner’s objection at first because he is single. Then engineer Anwar, who is going through special circumstances, joins him in the residence.

Law student Safaa (Zubaida Tharwat) loves her colleague Kamal (Ahmed Ramzy), and the two want to get married. However, her father Ibrahim (Hussein Riad) opposes this relationship because Kamal's mother, Horia (Zouzou Madi), runs her house as a gambling ground. Two friends, Hamdi, an actor in one of the Rod El Farag theaters, and Ezzat the merchant, compete to win the heart of their neighbor Badriya. Hamdi marries her and they work together in a political play. The police chase Hamdi, so he seeks refuge with his friend Hussein. He happens to find his wife Badriya in Hussein's apartment, and Hussein tried to rape her. Hamdi thinks she is cheating on him, but he discovers the truth after it is too late.

Hoda lives among the servants and drivers who consider her family and dreams of her knight in shining armor. Ahmed saves her from drowning, and she thinks of him without seeing him, until one day they meet, they exchange love, and she goes with her maid to Ahmed's house, where she sees a picture of her deceased mother on one of his walls. She is also Hoda's mother. The truth shocks her and she decides to hide it from her lover.

Adel and Mona are in love, and just as they were about to get engaged, Adel has an accident. When he recovers, he finds that the only woman he loved is now married to another man.
