40 Glocc (born Lawrence Carl Demetrious White in Greenville, Texas, on December 16, 1979) is an American rapper, raised in California's Inland Empire. He has worked with Jayo Felony, Kurupt, Dr. Dre and Mobb Deep. His solo discography includes The Jakal (2003). At the tender age of 8 he moved to the projects in Colton, California, otherwise known as the "Zoo". Glocc acknowledges that the strong lyrics he is known for came from the wisdom and heart it took to survive being raised in the "Zoo". 40 Glocc found his talent as a rapper at the age of thirteen, being inspired by the music of Dr. Dre, Ice Cube, LL Cool J and others. In September 1997, 40 Glocc, K-9 and Natural Born formed the Zoo Crew and released their first album, Migrate, Adapt or Die produced by Tony and Julio G. The album was a big underground hit and 40 Glocc became recognized as one of the best hidden talents in the industry by established artists. These artists have come out in full force to support his next album, The Jakal and in 2006 40 Glocc has made an album with the Hi-Power Soliderz crew.
